Comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, good value for money overall
Nice rooms and a friendly atmosphere, the grounds were well kept and the staff clearly knew what they were doing, fantastic service!
The Superior room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and a huge window looking out over the lawn to the hills in the distance. Staff were very helpful, obliging and responded quickly to anything requiring attention in the room. Evening meals were excellent for choice, quality and value. Ideal location in a small town away from a main road but close enough to Edinburgh for tourists and shopping and well situated to explore the beautiful Borders countryside. Leadburn Manor trout fishery is a only a short drive away and we enjoyed a day out there.
The excellent service provided by all the staff, very comfortable and spacious room and excellent bar food (huge helpings)
my husband an i thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly i would definitaly stay there again excellent
The staff were very friendly and most helpful - always had a smile on their faces. The grounds were lovely - very nice to sit out the front of the hotel in amongst the trees and gardens. The hotel has obvious old world charm - would recommend it to all. The trip to Edinburgh on the bus took about 45 minutes. The bus stop was out in front of the hotel - not far to walk.
Great location, excellent value, great food, lovely beer, fabulous breakfast, staff very friendly and helpful
I really enjoyed my stay, the staff were excellent and very friendly, the food was amazing.
The Hotel was close to a family member and was clean and comfortable. The food at the Hotal was fabulous!
Being made to feel very, very welcome from the moment we went inside the door. Very, very helpful and polite staff and very, very friendly
Nothing at all what so ever !!
The staff were great couldnt do enough for us even down to recomending what dishes to chose for our evening meal which was fantastic the room was nice and warm and spotless had a good nights sleep we will defenitly go back again
Clean, friendly place to stay, excellent food, huge breakfast.
Nothing the place is very Gruby- dated and in some places dirty staff could get a job in faulty towers (awfull)
Dirty room- Bar area - outside area in need of repair, no sugar no porridge the place is run on a shoe string.
This was a last minute booking. The Hotel is also a pub which make it quite a noisy place. There was a wedding party and a celebration party during our stay which make the place packed with people and very noisy with the band playing till midnight. The hotel is quiet a fair way from Edinburgh so you will need a car. The room is spacious and comfortable with TV, WiFi and nice clean bathroom. There is plenty of parking space although we had to park on the street due to the party. Cooked breakfast is great.
It is quiet a noisy hotel due to the pub being part of the hotel. However it could be fun if you want to join in with the locals.
The reception and welcome at the Craigiebield were excellent and really friendly. The bar was very buzzy with a great atmosphere and the staff could not do enough to be helpful.
